Thanksgiving Made Easy
Designing a free Thanksgiving hosting planner that turns eight quick questions into a complete plan — grocery timing, a cooking schedule, and text invites — for hosts who'd otherwise be running the holiday from memory and group texts.

What problem existed?
Hosting Thanksgiving dinner means juggling a guest list, a cooking timeline, and a grocery run — usually tracked across group texts and someone's memory. There's no single place that turns "who's coming and when" into "what to buy, what to cook, and when to start."
What I owned
I'm the founder, designer, and the person building Thanksgiving Made Easy end to end — product, interaction design, and the planning logic that turns a handful of answers into a complete hosting plan.
How I got there
Built the whole flow around a short questionnaire — guest count, dinner time, and a few preferences — then let the app do the backward planning: when to buy and thaw the turkey, when to start cooking, so hosts get a plan instead of a checklist. Designed for both web and native apps, since hosts plan at a desk and check in from their phone the day of.
What shipped
A free Thanksgiving hosting planner — thanksgivingmadeeasy.com — that turns eight quick questions into a full plan: a turkey-buying and thawing timeline, a day-of cooking schedule, and invites hosts can send by text. iOS and Android apps are in review now, with the full launch timed for Oct 31, 2026, four weeks before Thanksgiving.
