Facebook encases Social Media into one website

September 23rd, 2011 — 5:43pm

What sites use to do for you in providing you with a unique experience online Facebook has brought into their bubble and now monopolized your time on the internet.

Discovering food, music, choices, babysitters, places to hang out, what to wear, what to cook, has now all come to Facebook in one place. There will be no need to leave Facebook as everything will be right there in front of you to choose from. In some instances, there is no need to go over a friends house to watch a TV show or movie, you can literally be right there watching together, chatting back and forth and even on live video. The only thing you can’t do is put your arm around the girl you took on the date to the movies (wait don’t give Facebook any ideas).

But, on the real side of things Facebook change the social media landscape forever. It has taken your life, now from the beginning of your existence, up until now and put it within your Facebook timeline. There is no need for sites like classmates.com (like it wasn’t dead already), myyearbook.com, myspace music, reverb.com, and much others. You can find choices from your friends in music, movies and in TV show.

Enough about this for now…check Facebook out when it really launches!

The New HP Printers: 3D Imaging, Print Anywhere…. and My Thoughts

September 12th, 2011 — 2:38pm

Even though the new 15 HP Printers are nothing new to the world of print, they do bring some interesting technologies to the consumer and small business print side of things.

Their new 3D printer can essentially be really great for designers who need a high quality image of something at different angles to insert into their collateral material they are creating. Now, as designers we know this is not something new, but it is an affordable item that all people can now readily afford.

Now their new “Print anywhere” campaign allows people to print from a smart phone, wirelessly, in the cloud, not connected to the internet, or flying by in a hover-board across the Grand Canyon. Did anyone ever her of FedEx Kinkos? Hasn’t this been around for sometime? and don’t Hotels and your occasional motel have a FedEx Kinkos print center in them? But, without an internet connection through your smartphone is pretty cool.

Anyway, the new technology will give people another reason to scoop up HP printers, but would anyone in this community buy one?

Thoughts?
